great location but minor issues
The location truly made our stay memorable, with easy access to local attractions. Each day, the room was tidied up nicely, and we appreciated the daily change of towels.
There were some slight inconveniences with noise from the ongoing roadworks nearby.

The room was really clean and spacious, which I liked. The bed was comfy too, and the shower was nice and tidy. They replaced the towels daily, which felt good. Just a heads up, though—there was this annoying low droning noise in room 11 from the kitchen fans that really bugged me at night. It stopped after midnight but started again early morning. If you’re a light sleeper, it might bother you, but the overall vibe of the room was pretty chill otherwise.

I had a night at the Dog and Doublet recently. The food quality stood out, especially at dinner, which was delicious and had wonderful gluten-free options. The breakfast was plentiful, with lots of choices that I thoroughly enjoyed. My room, however, was too cold and I had to ask for the heating to be boosted. I noticed some issues with the cleanliness of the towels, which felt damp and had a musty smell upon arrival. Staff were attentive during my stay, checking in on my meal without being intrusive. The atmosphere was inviting, but the bar area could get noisy during peak times. Despite the issues, I appreciate the efforts of the staff to make the experience pleasant. Hope they can improve on room warmth and cleanliness.
