Food was excellent
Room was very noisy due to busy traffic and roadworks outside bedroom window (on main road). Room was very warm during night but we couldn't open window due to traffic noise - room 3. Another guest got locked out of their room (naked) during night when going to the loo (?) and whilst wandering about randomly opening cupboards we saw them (through the spy hole) urinate in a bucket stored in a cupboard outside our room - we did inform staff the next day! They were eventually let into their room by the night porter.

Clean room, and simple, comfortable interiors
I had two breakfasts, both were a little disappointing. The first was salmon and scrambled egg, but it was (perhaps tinned) bits of salmon in the egg which was a bit weird. The next morning I tried eggs Benedict which had palmer ham instead of thick pink ham, which didn't taste or look right at all.

Staff were very obliging.
Suggestions: tumblers in bedroom for use at night; duvet too heavy; some people might like to have tea/coffee making facilities.
